Depending on your need, NMC physicians can perform the following services for your patient/client:
Primary Treating Physician (PTP) or Second Opinion Consultation
The patient will spend typically an hour with the physician in the consultation visit involving a detailed history taking of the injury as well as the physical examination. The doctor will also leave open some time during the evaluation for the patient to ask any questions he/she may have regarding possible treatment options.
Treatment will consist of the following options:
Medication
Electromyogram (EMG) and Nerve Conduction (NCV) Study
Somatosensory Evoked Potential (SSEP)
Follow-Up Appointments
TENS Unit
Chiropractic Therapy prescription
Physical Therapy prescription
Acupuncture
Trigger Point Injection(s)
Home Exercise Program
Medical-Legal Appointments
NMC doctors are also Qualified Medical Examiners (QME) able to perform Panel QMEs, Agreed Medical Exams (AME), Applicant/Defense QMEs and all medical-legal related services. We can also perform records review with report for those parties looking for direction on cases but do not want the patient to be evaluated.
Typically, the physician will reserve two hours for a comprehensive medical-legal evaluation although some appointments will take longer depending on the complexity of the case. Medical records will usually be reviewed before and after the appointment to best frame the physician questions during the history portion of the report. A comprehensive report will be completed shortly after the appointment.
For large referrals, we can also offer block time with certain doctors to insure that you have the option of getting that last minute case in! Please speak to our scheduling department regarding block time.
